Sigma Paris palette swatches and mini review.

Hey there gorgeous glitterati :)

How are we all? I hope you're doing fantastic and your Summer is decidedly more "Summer" like than mine! The weather here sucks, it's practically July for crying out loud.

One thing I do love about the Summer is my bibbly birthday, and I'm a big old 30 this year in a couple of weeks, scary biscuits!! My lovely other half has been buying me bits and pieces, but I only asked for one thing that wasn't a surprise and it was this - The Sigma Paris palette.

Sigma are an American brand who carry the most amazing brushes and have now started to do a range of eyeshadow palettes. Well last year they gathered together in Paris (lucky) 7 of the top YouTube makeup gurus to create a palette and this little baby was the outcome of all their work. Each YourTube guru was given a landmark in Paris to find inspiration from and create their own eyeshadow shade, then all 7 worked together to create a final eyeshadow, 2 blushes and a highlighter.

The first time I spied it was when one of my favourite YouTubers, makeupbytiffanyd showed it on her channel and I fell in love there and then. The palette costs $59 and can be found here there is a code live for $10 off the palette which is "TIFFANYD" and believe me when I say I think it's worth every penny.

Now on to the good stuff, yummy pictures and even more yummy swatches. Apologies, my pictures don't do full justice to this palette at all. Eyeshadows are one swipe of the product and no base:

Ok so left to right in the palette and on my arm, the 8 eyeshadows are as follows:

Eiffel - Matte black with multi coloured sparkles. Created by makeupbytiffanyD

Seine - Navy blue with a petrol blue shimmer. Created by all of the gurus collaboritively.

Louvre - Matte teal / sea green shade. Created by Petrilude.

Orsay - Stunning green with gold sparkles. Created by MacNC40

Elysees - Slightly purple tones brown. Created by Dulcecandy87

Notre Dame - The perfect metallic taupe. Created by xteener.

Triomphe - Duochrome shade, brown with green tinges depneding on how the light catches it. Created by frmheadtotoe.

Versailles - Beautiful white gold with gold shimmer. Created by Xsparkage.

Now for the blushes (heavily swatched) and highlight shade:

Left to right on my arms we have:

Rouge - Deep warm plum.

Peche - Soft apricot peach.

Lumiere (Individually in it's own picture) - I couldn't capture this well at all with my camera but it's a beautiful natural sheen, slightly champagne in colour but gives the perfect glow to your skin.

I LOVE IT :) I'm just so thrilled with this palette, the products are so buttery smooth and highly pigmented, I've had no fallout issues with the more sparkly shades and the staying power is second to none, although I do use an eyeshadow base pretty much every day anyway. The palette also comes with two Sigma brushes which are the F40 large angled contour brush and the E55 eye shading brush, I can't express how soft and lovely these brushes are, I want a whole kit now :)

I'm so glad I was allowed to play with this little beauty before my birthday as I've been using it nonstop since it arrived.

What do you think? Is it something you'd considering splurging on? It was created by YouTube gurus afterall, so I never for one second doubted the quality and it absolutely hasn't let me down at all. I can see myself using this palette so much, you can create such a number of different looks from natural to crazy bright with a pop of that gorgeous Orsay shade which is my favourite along with the Versailles shade which is perfect inner corner and browbone highlighter.

Let me know if you pick up this palette or if you have it already or even if you can think of some amazing looks to do with this and I'll give them a go, I love your feedback and your opinions are always more than welcome :)

Take care and mega love to you all xox

Quick little FOTD as I haven't done one in ages.

Hey there gorgeous glitterati :)

I thought I'd do a really quick FOTD post for you as I haven't done one in ages.

I'm going to keep it super simple, I'm just going to post the picture and list what I used - I went fairly neutral today, well for me anyway lol!! So here you have it:

Here's what I used to create the neutral (ish) look :)

Face: Clarins Ever Matte foundation in 109 Wheat, Soap and Glory Kick Ass concealer in Medium, Boots 17 pressed powder in delicate beige and MAC pro longwear bronzer in sun dipped.

Eyes: MAC paint pot in lets skate as a base, MAC satin taupe all over my lid, Stila kitten blending out the edges, MAC added goodness fluid line used on top lash line and water line. Finished off with a generous coating of Soap and Glory thick and fast mascara.

Brows: Filled in lightly with Kate eyebrow pencil in BR-3, then finished off with Me Me Me Arch angel brushed through.

Cheeks: MAC fashion frenzy powder blush with a little MAC pink shock cream colour base underneath.

Lips: MAC sweetie lipstick all on it's lonesome.

And there you have it, that's the lot. Let me know what you think in the comments below pretty please, your critique and comments are ALWAYS welcomed here :)

Take care and much love to you all xox

Things I've been love love LOVING recently.

Howdy gorgeous glitterati :)

I've been wanting to do Summery posts and favourites for a while now, but honestly if you see the weather here, you'd understand why I'm not quite feeling in the Summery mood, it's pap here at the minute, tell me when is the Summer going to hit the UK?!!

Anyhooooooo, I figured I'd do a little bit of a random post for you today, it's not all entirely beauty related and it may well be a bit rambly, but hey that's me in real life (as oppose to Internet me who is actually usually super coherent and understandable). Just a few bits and pieces I fancied sharing with you lovely lot really, so here goes :

1. Converse design your own shoes ......... Yes really. My lovely OH wanted a pair of converse for his birthday, but couldn't find any in particular that he loved, so we went on the UK converse website and discovered you can literally design your own pair, down to every last detail including the stitching colour and even a little personalisation on the side. Click here to check them out, there are colours and patterns galore, the choices are endless for what you could come up with, but here's ours, let me know what you think:

2. My new dress. You know how it goes ...... you're walking around the shops with no intention of actually buying anything, you try something on "for fun" and that's it, you're sold :) Well that's how it works in my world. I saw this dress in Republic and I fell in love, it's the perfect Summer dress for me all floaty and feather printed, the material is so silky and soft and the neckline is all embellished and beautiful. I'll show you my picture, but click here if you want to check it out on the Republic website, I'm afraid they only delivery with the UK and the EU. Look how pretty:

3. MUFE (Makeup Forever) Aqua creams. Why have I not discovered these little multi purpose babies before I ask you?! They're amazing!! Check out the shade selection here. These are advertised as "waterproof cream color" and that's exactly what they are, I use them as shadow base, cream shadow, eyeliner and if the shade is appropriate, even as lip and cheek colour. I plan on doing a separate review on these little babies, but for now here are my one swipe swatches, look how crazy pigmented they are in just one single swipe:

4. My MAC eyeshadow palette. I had truly forgotten in my crazy "must have more lipstick" haze, just how much I adore MAC single eyeshadows. I only have the one 15 pan palette, but I've removed the dividers so I can fit more eyeshadows into one palette - I'll obviously pop the dividers back in if I plan on taking it travelling with me.
I just love the freedom these palettes offer, I know buying all the individual shadows costs a heck of a lot more than say a Too Faced palette, but this way you get to choose the individual shadows and can ensure there'll be none lying all unloved in your collection.

As you can see, I'm a blue and green girl through and through. Again I plan on doing a separate post on my MAC shadows so I can give you names and swatches of all in my palette, but honestly I've been using this palette every single day for THE longest time and the look possibilities are just endless.

5. I couldn't do a post about things I love without including my fur babies Ruby and Millie, They're 9 weeks old now and getting cuter and more mischievous by the day. Here they are for your viewing pleasure:

Might I add how flipping impossible they made typing this post up :) they love to crawl all over my keyboard while I'm typing, honestly if they weren't so cute they'd be a pain in the butt.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post, just something a little bit different that I thought might be a nice change from the usual solidly makeup orientated posts. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and let me know what you've been loving this month :)

As always, take care and mega love to all xox

My favourite bronzers for Summer.

Hey gorgeous glitterati :)

I've been wanting to do a post on bronzers for a while now, but I've been waiting for the weather to perk up so I could really test them out .................. Then I remembered I live in the UK and the weather was never going to pick up.

So I've been playing about with every bronzer I have for a while now and believe me I have a few!! I'm a bit addicted to bronzer. But I've come up with my top 5 and I thought I'd share them with you.

I'm not going to do them in any particular order as I love them all, but I will tell you which one is my favourite overall at the end of this post.

Anyway as usual, on to the good stuff that is the pictures and swatches:

And we have left to right the following :

  • MAC pro longwear bronzer in Sun dipped - This is just beautiful, it's from the new MAC hey sailor collection and it's a whole new formula from their normal bronzer. This is so smooth and finely milled, pigmented in one swatch and has absolutely no glitter to my eye which is perfect for contouring those cheeks and all over the face without looking too garish. It's a beautiful tone too, very nude with a golden undertone.

  • MAC bronzer in refined golden - This is part of MAC's permanent collection, mine just happens to be in special edition packaging. There is definite glitter in this bronzer so it can't be worn all over the face and it has a much more orange tone to it compared to the pro longwear bronzer. But this looks gorgeous on your cheeks and all over you chest when you've got a tan. It isn't as smooth as the pro longwear, but it's not gritty at all despite the glitter.

  • Soap and Glory Solar powder bronzer - This is the lightest of all my bronzers but it makes it absolutely full proof for all over your face. There are 2 sides to this product and my swatch is of the 2 shades mixed, but obviously you can mix and match to get your perfect shade. There is the faintest shimmer to this bronzer, but it's not too much so I'm happy to wear this any way I like without looking like a disco ball. Again this is a very smooth product and super pigmented in just one swipe with a gorgeous golden glow.

  • Nars Laguna bronzer - This is a great tone of bronzer, very warm but not at all orange. There is very definite golden shimmer is this bronzer so I definitely wouldn't wear it all over my face, but again it's gorgeous with a tan on your chest and cheeks. This is super pigmented so you have to use a light hand, but it is worth it as the outcome is just beautiful.

  • Too faced chocolate soleil in original chocolate - I adore this bronzer, it's the perfect tone for me, not at all orange and it's totally matte which makes it ideal for contouring and all over your face if you so desire. The added bonus with this bronzer is that it actually smells like milk chocolate. Again this is super smooth and super pigmented in one swipe and is a gorgeous deep tan without being too dark and in your face.

If I was absolutely forced to pick my favourite, at the minute it would have to be the Soap and Glory solar powder bronzer, but the too faced chocolate soleil and MAC pro longwear bronzers are both super duper close seconds, there's virtually nothing in it. I just enjoy that the Soap and Glory powder has two shades to mix and match and the slight hint of shimmer just makes my skin glow with looking over the top.

At the minute I've got both the Soap and Glory and the Too faced bronzers in my makeup bag, I use the Too Faced to contour with or all over my face, then I'll use the Soap and Glory for the same if I want a little glow or as a very subtle cheekbone highlight. Soap and Glory is currently 3 for 2 in Boots which is brilliant, I got the solar bronzer, kick ass concealer and thick & fast mascara and thus far I'm loving them all, the Soap and Glory makeup range is well worth checking out.

What's your favourite Summer bronzer, any I should check out? Let me know in the comments below pretty please :)

Thanks for reading people, I really appreciate it. Take care and much love to all xox

MUA launches the "Undressed" palette.

Well hello there my gorgeous glitterati.

***Firstly I just need to apologise for the lack of pictures in this post - Blogger is playing up big time with me today, but hopefully you can get the gist without any piccies***

I just wanted to let you know some exciting news I've seen floating about in the land of blogging.

All you lovely UK lasses will have maybe heard of the cosmetic brand MUA (makeup academy), it's a brand sold in Superdrug which is famous for it's £1 price tag on all individual items.

Well I for one enjoy the occasional dabble into MUA, for £1 surely it's worth a shot - Their clear mascara (which I use as brow set), brow pencils and single eyeshadows are amazing for the money.

They also do a range of palettes, with 12 shades in each and these retail for £4 a pop, bargain!! Even better, they have just unveiled the newest palette in their collection which ranges from nudes to smokey neutrals and it's aptly titled "undressed" ............. Ummmmmmm bargain naked palette anyone.

Swatches can be found here on MUA's blog, check them out and I think you'll agree they look utterly amazing quality for the bargain price tag of £4.

This baby wasn't meant to be launched until July but I've spotted the palette for sale on their site now, click here to go straight to it.

If you've ever lusted after the Urban Decay naked palettes, but couldn't justify the price tags, I think this may just be the palette for you. All you lovely international ladies need not fret as MUA deliver worldwide directly from their site linked above, so feel free to browse and shop to your hearts content.

Have you got this palette yet, or anything else from MUA that you'd highly recommend for me to check out? Let me know in the comments below.

I'll be back over the weekend with my favourite bronzers for Summer, the pictures have been taken, I just need to write up the blog post to go with them :)

Take care and as always much love to all xox
